Something Evil's Lurking in The Dark

It's Going to Be a Diller Halloween Night This Evening

Actually, the original "Thriller" music video is 13 minutes long. (You can watch the whole 13 minute segment at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtyJbIOZjS8. ) In the video, MJ does choreographed dance moves with zombies. He mutates from a school boy into both a zombie and a werecat. What is a werecat? According to wikipedia, a werecat is creature in folklore that is a shape shifter similiar to a werewolf. It is important to note that a werecat seems to have feline characteristics rather that dog like characteristics like werewolves. Rick Baker, Michael Jackson's makeup artist for the Thriller video, described MJ as a "Cat Monster."

MJ used grape jelly for the gory effects in the Thriller video. Apparently, MJ wasn't scaring anyone on the Thriller video set. In fact, the dancers in the video, aka the zombie chorus, demanded higher pay for their dancing skills and almost went on strike; tensions arose when dancers complained of leg pain from dancing on hard cement in specific shoes given to them by the Thriller video producers. In music videos, do dancers normally dance on rubber floors to avoid leg pain?

Halloween is about scary things- witches, zombies and the dead, to name a few. So Scary Halloween Question: Do you remember the first time you had sexual relations with another person? Losing your virginity can be scary. But Betty Wright isn't afraid of anything....

Using Betty Wright's hook from "Tonight is the Night", Sheek Louch doesn't appear to be afraid of boring and lame players and shorties in the club. He exclaims, "Anyway, I'm trying to see who else is here/ I see shorties staring at me way over there/ I'm sorry baby girl, but I just got to disapear / because I/" and it cuts to a Betty Wright sample, "I just can't keep still"

But Perhaps Sheek Louch can't keep still because the Candyman is on the prowl. Using Wright's hook from ""Tonight is the Night" the Candyman, in the opening line of "Knockin Boots", proclaims that he is on the PROWL.

Although the Candyman seems harmless in the above music video, you should be afraid of the the Candyman!!!

The urban legend in the movies goes as follows: A son of slave had a love affair with the (white) daughter of a plantation owner. As a result, he was brutally tortured and murdered for his love affair with a white woman.

According to the movie, if you say Candyman five times in a row, in front of your bathroom mirror, the crazy psychopath spririt/monster/beast/monster beast appears tries to kill you!

Candyman

Candyman

Candyman

Candyman

Say it the fifth time! double dare you!

Remember to check your Halloween candy for razors!

A Ladies Only TV Party

Heat Wave Burning in My Heart

Although fall is here and it is getting cold outside, it will be hot during the rapture.

According to Blondie, during the Rapture, the Man from Mars, wearing a white suit and white top hat, turns you into a zombie

"And you try to run but he's got a gun
And he shoots you dead and he eats your head
And then you're in the man from Mars
You go out at night, eatin' cars
You eat Cadillacs, Lincolns too
Mercurys and Subarus
And you don't stop, you keep on eatin' cars
Then, when there's no more cars
You go out at night and eat up bars where the people meet."

So apparently, during the rapture, the man from Mars comes down and shots you in the head. After being shot, you turn into a pseudo zombie that eats cars, specifically, fancy cars- Cadillacs and Lincoln Town Cars. Then, after you eat all cars in America, you go out to bars to dance with people. Actually, the man from mars in the video is a man named William Barnes. He choreographed all his own dance moves for the "Rapture" video.

So, how does Blondie suggest one save oneself during the rapture? Blondie finds salvation in the beat. During "Rapture" Blondie lavishes her praise on Grand Master Flash.

Blondie exclaims, " Fab Five Freddie told me everybody's high/ DJ's spinnin' are savin' my mind / Flash is fast, Flash is cool"

Grand Master Flash also saw New York City disenigrating around him in the early 80s. But rather than thinking that the apocalypse was near, Grandmaster Flash thought that everyday life was a jungle.

Out of Curiosity: What pops up when you search for "the rapture" in youtube... (This video is insane. Straight up insane and horrifying. The rapture is not coming anytime soon.)

Repeat: the video above is insane. Bad things happen all the time but people keep on living. For instance, WE channel (Women's Entertainment Channel) aired a story on
on a recent show, 20/20 on WE, about a hairdresser turned detective. Through a series of random events, the hairdresser uncovered that her husband of 13 years was a psychopath killer; to get even, she quit her job as a hairdresser to become a full time detective. She found the evidence and brought her husband to justice for a murder that he committed 20 years earlier.

Anyway, the point of this story is that the lady in the WE Channel segment says in the interview that bad stuff happens to people all the time. Instead of getting sad, the hairdresser turned detective instructs people to believe in themselves and keep pushing forward or some shit like that. Not only do you have to push it, but Salt 'N Pepper advise people to push it real good.

Everyone would agree that you have to push it. Keep pushing forward at all costs.

Off the Wall

Sometimes you just want someone to call........

Micheal Jackson owes Rick James 100 pieces of bling and a young teen girl.

Relax by the poolside with the Ladies....

Apparently, there were huge hip-hop block parties in the New York City area in the late 1970s. Sylvia Robinson, a producer and record label owner from Englewood, New Jersey recruited three local boys, Master Gee (Guy O'Brien), Wonder Mike (Michael Wright) and Big Bank Hank (Henry Jackson) to come together.

Big Bank Hank is an interesting character. In the song, "Rapper's Delight", Big Bank Hank tries to convince Lois Lane to drop Superman as her boyfriend: "He's a fairy, I do suppose/flying through the air in panty hose...He can't satisfy you with his little worm, but I can bust you out with my super sperm".

Bust you out with my super sperm? Allegedly, Big Bank Hank has super sperm instead super powers. Which would you choose? Super Powers or Super Sperm? Does Kryptonite kill super sperm?

Also in "Rapper's Delight", Big Bank Hank chants,"Ho-tel, Mo-tel, what you gonna do today (say what)/I'm gonna get a fly girl, gonna get some spank n' drive off in a def O.J," three times.

Apparently, a def OJ is a fancy car. In the 1970's Hertz Car Rental Company did a number of car rental commercials that featured OJ Simpson.

And in case you didn't know, the bass line in Rapper's Delight was ripped from Chic's "Good Times". Happy Days are here again? Perhaps. The song promises, that if you put an end to stress and strife, live the sporty life and leave your cares behind you will have good times. Chic made big promises in 1979.
