Pleasure Victims

Dream on

At night, strange things happen

Don't fall victim

This song is unreal. Dig real deep and find the treasure

Baby make your mind up give up what you got

Riding the metro is always more fun than driving

There is no way to turn back

Up and Down and Out

Today is your day. No one can tell you who to sock it to

You have it all together. If you don't have it all together, you'll get it together soon

If things seem to be in a disarray, then, perhaps you're not getting down low enough. Get down, all the way down.

If you're down and out, maybe its time to ride away into the sunset?

Or perhaps, if you're really down, you should send out an S.O.S signal

When you're down, you have to get up

Are you ready for this?! James Brown doesn't waste time sitting around on his ass

Whether your up or down, eventually you will see the ever shinning light. The light is on. Its always on. You just have to open your eyes.

Remember: Think Twice and Be Yrself

A public service announcement from the legendary Petey Greene:

Petey Greene was one of
Washington, D.C.'s most prominent media personalities in the 1970s and 1980s. As TV and radio talk show host, Greene won 2 Emmy Awards.

In 1960, Greene was convicted of armed robbery- Greene robbed a small grocery store and was sentenced to ten years in prison. While at the Lorton Reformatory, Greene became the prison's disc Jockey. To get out of jail on parole, in 1965, Greene convinced a friend/fellow inmate to climb on top of a prison water tower and threaten to jump/aka commit suicide. Greene "saved" his friend's life by talking him down. As a reward for his good behavior and his "heroic" act, Greene was released from prison on parole. The whole suicide spectacle was an act/show and a clever way to escape from jail.

Entelechy

En⋅tel⋅e⋅chy:

according to the dictionary:
-a realization or actuality as opposed to a potentiality.
-(in vitalist philosophy) a vital agent or force directing life and growt
h.

Aristotle puts forward the contrasting concepts of enérgeia and entelécheia in
Metaphyics

In
Metaphysics, Aristotle states that entelécheia is the fullness of actualization. Energeia is the activity of actualization - or the movement or motion toward actualization not necessarily completed.

Entelechy put another way:

Aristotle claimed that change is the passage from the potential to the actual.

Take this example: a acorn has the potential to become an oak tree. A mature oak tree is the realization of the potential of the the acorn. If you planted an acorn in the middle of an orange grove, it would become an oak tree- not an orange tree. The acorn can't learn to become/become an orange tree- it has to become an oak tree.

Yr a Sure Shot: Man Who Threw A Shoe Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

In case you missed it:

An Iraqi court sentenced Iraqi TV reporter, Muntadher al-Zaidi to three years in prison for throwing his shoes at Former President GW Bush at a December news conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in Baghdad.

When asked why he threw his shoes at GW Bush, he said that he was spurred into action by the violence that USA had wrought upon the Iraqi people.

Zaidi testified:

"I had the feeling that the blood of innocent people was dropping on my feet during the time that he was smiling and coming to say bye-bye to Iraq with a dinner. So I took the first shoe and threw it but it did not hit him. Then spontaneously I took the second shoe but it did not hit him either. I was not trying to kill the commander of the occupation forces of Iraq." (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/iraq/4979586/Shoe-throwing-Iraqi-journalist-sentenced-to-3-years-in-prison.html)

And yes- It's obvious to see why a semi educated person in Iraq would be angry at former President GW Bush. Under both President Bushes (yes both, father and son) command, the US army has killed thousands of innocent and not so innocent people using tanks, depleted uranium bombs and planes in the name of freedom and democracy.

Mr. Zaidi had a SURE SHOT and he took it. He DID NOT mean maybe- at what point does a person sit peacefully complacent, and at what point does one act and throw shoes in protest? What are people supposed to do when they want to confront the often unjust military/economic might of United States Government?

But things do work out for SURE SHOTS like journalist Zaidi. Now, being a world icon, there is no way he can loose. According to the NY Times, a Saudi Arabian man offered Zaidi $10 Million for one of the shoes that he threw at former President Bush!

Mr. Zaidi should take the money so he won't have to run anymore- with $10 million, he can live somewhere and relax.
